This was maakleerfest!
Hundreds of people came by maakleerplek to get to know the places of LLES (Leuven Learning Ecosystem)
On September 20th—Car-Free Sunday in Leuven—we set up camp at Stapelhuisplein. Visitors enjoyed a leisurely stroll through our covered makers' market, where they could meet over 30 emerging (and experienced) makers.
The square also offered a chance to discover various crafts. Young and old alike were fascinated by Hans, a woodcarver who spent the day hard at work on his pole lathe. Nearby, two blacksmiths were busy at their forge.
There was music, food, and drinks, plus the opportunity to drop in on all our Open Labs.
