FDM 3D printers
Lost the cap of your water bottle? Need a stand for your phone charger? Try one of our 3D printers — our volunteers help you from idea to print.
About the machine
We have several FDM 3D printers in the lab. These printers heat filament from a spool (usually PLA or PETG) and push it through the print head, layer by layer.
Our technical experts are happy to help you turn your idea into a 3D model and eventually print it.
Learn the ropes
- We organise workshops that teach you the basics in a few hours: operating the printers, what to watch out for when printing … There are also workshops on designing 3D files. You can find all workshops in our webshop.
- During Open Labs we are happy to help you with your project and answer your questions where we can.
How and where to use it
- During Open Labs (Thursdays 6–10 pm and Saturdays 2–6 pm) our lab is open continuously and you can use the printers freely.
- Reserving a 3D printer is not possible.
