Graphic Lab
Informal meeting and learning space for photo-graphics, run by artists and volunteers. With screen printing, riso printing, etching press, photo studio and (soon) a darkroom.
Art here is not decoration but a way of knowing in its own right: it asks the questions that specialisms skip and lets us look differently at the world we are rebuilding. That is why the artists' studios sit in the middle of our site and not at its edge, and why artists, technicians, children and engineers work side by side here.
The Grafisch Lab is an informal meeting and learning space focused on photo-graphics within maakleerplek. It is run by artists and volunteers and offers three tracks: a weekly open lab, biweekly initiations and masterclasses in collaboration with Cas-co vzw.

Programmes
- Open Lab
- Every Thursday 18:00–22:00. Free and open to all: a professional studio mentor (artist) helps you get started so you can work independently.

- Initiations
- Biweekly initiations in riso printing, screen printing, etching press, monotypes, cyanotype and analogue photography. After completing the initiation pathway you can use the machines independently.

- Programmes in collaboration with Cas-co vzw with artists, experts and master printers around a specific medium or technique.

Initiations & Masterclasses
- Initiation per session: €35

Renting the space
- Space rental: €20 / €10 per hour (standard / nonprofit)
- Space rental: €100 / €50 per day (standard / nonprofit)
- Professional mentoring: €60 / €30 per hour
- Custom workshop on request: €350 (excl. VAT)

Access & reservations
No booking required for the Open Lab. To use a machine independently you first complete the matching initiation.
Registration for initiations and masterclasses happens through the webshop / agenda.
