In this drypoint etching introduction, studio guide Lise Van den Broucke shows step by step how to carve lines and textures directly into a plate with a needle. This non-toxic printing technique — no acid or chemicals — produces expressive, powerful lines that are then printed on paper with ink. Bring plenty of images, sketches and inspiration. After the introduction you can keep working on your etching during open lab.

In this introduction you learn the basics of Riso printing, including how to prepare a print-ready file — we work digitally in Adobe software (basic knowledge required). Bring your own computer and preferably an idea of what you want to print. You go home with 20 colourful two-colour A3 Riso prints.

In this introduction you learn the basics of Riso printing. We work analogue — drawing, cutting and pasting a postcard — then scan it and print it in two colours on the Riso printer, playing with misregistration, textures and overlay effects. You go home with several cards of your own making.
